Introduction to Counselling and Psychotherapy in Aylesbury & Tring
My name is Joanna Lubran and I am a BACP registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist with experience in working with Anxiety, Anxiety Related Disorders, Physical, Mental & Emotioanl Abuse, Anger, Addiction, Anorexia, Bereavement, Bulimia, Bipolar, Depression, Gender Issues, Eating Disorders, Over-Eating, Panic Attacks, Phobia's, Relationship Issues, Trauma, Under-Eating and Workplace Stress.
I work with both individuals and couples to establish a warm and trusted relationship to enable us to gently explore and work through the emotional issues that are causing concern. Through our work together clients are able to utilise the insight and understanding they have gained to make successful changes within their lives.
My approach is supportive & empathic whilst gently challenging areas of difficulty enabling clients to identify areas of their lives that require change. I am committed to providing counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment whilst maintaining high standards of ethical practice.
Professional Experience
I am experienced working as a Counsellor within a mental health charity working with Anxiety, Anxiety Related Disorders, Anger, Anorexia, Bulimia, Eating Disorders, Codependency, Depression, Gender Issues, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), Bipolar, Boderline Personality Disorder, Phobia's, Panic attacks, Relationship Issues and Obsesseive Compulsive Disorders.
I also have a number of years experience working within a Private Residential Rehabilitation Centre specialising in Substance Misuse Counselling, Addiction Counselling, Mental Health Issues & Mood Disorders. I am experienced working with clients presenting with Alcohol Dependence Syndrome, Alcohol Abuse, Alcoholism, Cocaine Misuse, Cocaine Addiction, Crack Cocaine, Cannabis Misuse, Heroin Misuse, Heroin Addiction. The counselling environment created a safe non-judgmental space where individuals were able to explore the underlying issues or unresolved early experiences that were causing them conflict and led them to Substance Misuse or Addiction.
Costs & Fees for Therapy Sessions
My fee per 50 minute session is £50 for individual counselling payable by bank transfer just prior to the session or payment at the session if you prefer.
My fee for couples therapy per 80 minute session is £85 payable by bank transfer just prior to the session or payment at the session if you prefer.
Hours of Work
I work Monday to Friday 9am-7pm. My last appointment is 6pm.
I offer face to face sessions, Zoom, Microsoft Teams Facetime and Whatsapp video calls on a national basis throughout the UK. I also offer telephone sessions as required.
Theoretical Approach
I am an Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist incorporating Transactional Analysis, Person Centred Approach, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy), Solution Based Brief Therapy (SFBT). I am a fully qualified CBT therapist.

My practice in Aston Clinton, Aylesbury is ideally situated within easy reach of Aylesbury, Aston Clinton, Weston Turville, Bierton, Stoke Mandeville, Buckland, Wendover, Halton, Tring, Wilstone, Pitstone & Wigginton. I have private parking and easy access to the 500 and 62 bus routes which have bus stops outside my premises. The bus route from Aylesbury Town centre is 15 minutes.
